The famous Ramblas street are approximately 1.2 kilometres long. It connects Plaça de Catalunya with the Columbus Monument and the city’s waterfront (Port Vell and MareMagnum).Las Ramblas (also known as “La Rambla”) is made up of five different “Ramblas”:
- Rambla de Canaletas (famous for its Canaletas fountain)
- Rambla dels Estudis, Rambla de Sant Josep (where you cand find La Boqueria market)
- Rambla dels Caputxins
- Rambla de Santa Mònica.
- Rambla de Mar, after Columbus Monument this is a more modern part of the Las Ramblas, where is located MareMagnum Shopping Centre.
Although human statues are the most famous attraction on Las Ramblas, this street is full of attractions: museums (Wax Museum, Erotic Museum, etc.), live performances, artists that will draw your portrait or caricature…
